SHB50321 – Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing (Eyebrows, Lips, Eyes)
Course Outline
Cosmetic tattooing, also known as Permanent Makeup, has increased in popularity over the years as more and more people seek these treatments to enhance their features with little maintenance.
Cosmetic Tattooing is more commonly applied to the eyebrows, eyeliner, and lips to define and enhance these features.
SHB50321 Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing (Eyebrows, Lips, Eyes) is a Nationally Accredited course of study for the Cosmetic Tattoo industry. Cosmetic Tattooing is a unique set of knowledge and skills that require in-depth knowledge about the skin, the application of precise technical skill, and an artistic eye for detail.
Along with infection and business units, this course is structured to best equip each student with the tools necessary to safely perform these treatments and achieve aesthetic outcomes for your future clients. The skills in this qualification must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State and Territory legislation, Australian standards and industry codes of practice.
No occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication. Cosmetic Tattooing is subject to Skin Penetration regulation in some states and territories. The supply of topical anaesthetic is restricted in some states and territories.
Learners and Clients
Participants for this course may have an interest in the beauty industry and may already have formal or informal beauty therapy training and are looking to upskill into cosmetic tattooing to add to their treatment offerings. Participants with a nursing, body piercing/tattooing background may want to upskill in cosmetic tattooing to broaden their skillset within their industry.
This course would also be suitable for newcomers, who would be attracted to Cosmetic Tattooing for a change of career or re-entering the workforce after extended time off (having a family).
